Today we are introducing the second Asiancer interview, showcasing the uniqueness of Asiance.

For this interview we talked with our Marketing Department’s unit leader about the topic of “The Role of a Digital Marketing Specialist.”

Let’s hear what she has to say!

Can you please explain briefly what the role of Digital Marketing Specialist entails?

I think it can be understood by considering the process of preparing for travel.

In this sense, Marketing Specialists are the travel agency,
the Brand is a travel destination,
And consumers are tourists.

As digital marketing specialists,
We must design a “journey” based on the Brand’s unique values and strengths, and manage the entire process starting from consumers’ first purchase to becoming part of a loyal consumer base.

What kind of mentality is needed to become an effective Digital Marketing Specialist?

Personally I think it’s good to have a mentality of
“Being unafraid of change”.

Working in an agency comes with a truly diverse experience of various brands and products.
Being constantly met with new and unprecedented challenges to solve,
it’s difficult to succeed by relying solely on previous work experience and knowledge.

At the end of the day, it’s good to enjoy the ambiguity that comes with change.

When recruiting a Digital Marketing Specialist what attributes do you focus on?

In particular, I focus on the candidate’s communication skills.

A Marketing Specialist needs to directly communicate not only with clients but also with team members in other departments.

Because of this, it’s important to be able to accurately determine others’ needs and intentions, and effectively persuade them of your opinions.

An interview is essentially a form of communication between interviewers and candidates.
So during interviews, I pay close attention to whether a candidate can understand and appropriately answer the given questions!
